These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the City Captain website, mobile application, services, marketplace, and related platforms (collectively, the “Platform”).

1. About City Captain
City Captain is a technology-enabled platform that connects customers with professionals, workers, service providers, consultants, and other service partners.
Depending on the service, City Captain may:

Provide booking and lead-generation functionality
Facilitate communication
Provide society maintenance solutions
Display professional profiles and service information
Facilitate payments where available
Provide technology and support services
Unless specifically stated otherwise, professionals listed on the Platform may operate as independent service providers and are not employees of City Captain.
2. Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
Provide accurate and complete information
Have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement
Use the Platform only for lawful purposes
Comply with these Terms and applicable laws
If you use the Platform on behalf of an organization, society, company, or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
Providing accurate service requirements
Providing a safe and reasonable environment for service providers
Providing correct service location and contact information
Reviewing the service details and applicable charges
Being available or providing appropriate access for the scheduled service
Making payments when due
Treating professionals and City Captain personnel respectfully
Not requesting unlawful, dangerous, or prohibited services
Customers should not ask professionals to perform work outside the agreed service without discussing and approving the additional work and charges.
4. Professional / Service Provider Responsibilities
Professionals using City Captain agree to:
Provide accurate personal and professional information
Provide genuine information about skills, experience, qualifications, and services
Complete applicable verification requirements
Maintain appropriate professional conduct
Accept only jobs they are qualified and capable of performing
Arrive at the agreed location and time where applicable
Provide services professionally and safely
Clearly communicate additional requirements or charges
Obtain customer approval before carrying out additional chargeable work
Comply with applicable laws, licenses, permits, and professional requirements
Protect customer information and privacy
Avoid misleading customers or making false claims
City Captain may suspend or remove a professional profile if information is found to be false, misleading, unsafe, fraudulent, or in violation of these Terms.
5. Pricing and Charges
City Captain may use different pricing models depending on the service.
These may include:
A. Fixed Pricing
For standardized services, City Captain may display a fixed or package price.
B. Starting Price
Some services may display a “starting from” price. The final price may depend on the actual requirements, quantity, location, materials, time, or complexity of the work.
C. Professional Quotation
For customized or complex services, the professional may provide a quotation after understanding or inspecting the requirements.
Where additional charges are proposed, the customer should approve the additional charges before the additional work begins.
6. City Captain Fees and Professional Payments
Depending on the applicable business model, City Captain may charge:
Service fees
Platform fees
Commission
Lead-generation fees
Subscription fees
Convenience or processing fees
Other clearly disclosed charges
The applicable charge will be communicated through the Platform or relevant agreement where reasonably possible.
Professional payouts may be subject to applicable fees, commissions, adjustments, refunds, cancellations, or other agreed terms.
7. Payments
Where online payment functionality is available, payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize applicable charges.
City Captain may not be responsible for failures caused by third-party payment providers, banks, payment networks, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
8. Bookings and Service Requests
Submitting a service request does not necessarily guarantee that a professional will accept or complete the requested service.
A booking may be considered confirmed only when confirmation is provided through the Platform or another authorized City Captain communication channel.
Availability may vary depending on location, service category, professional availability, and other circumstances.
9. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation, refund, rescheduling, and no-show rules may vary by service.
Any applicable cancellation or refund terms will be communicated through the Platform or relevant service terms.
City Captain may investigate disputes relating to cancellations, refunds, or service quality.
10. Independent Professionals
Unless expressly stated otherwise, professionals listed on City Captain are independent service providers.
City Captain does not necessarily employ, supervise, or control the day-to-day manner in which independent professionals perform their services.
Professionals are responsible for:
Their qualifications
Licenses and registrations where required
Taxes and statutory obligations applicable to their business
Tools and equipment where applicable
Quality and lawful performance of their services
City Captain may establish platform standards, verification procedures, ratings, policies, and safety requirements.
11. Verification
City Captain may conduct or facilitate verification of professionals.
Verification may include identity, contact details, skills, experience, qualifications, references, or other relevant checks, subject to applicable law.
A “Verified” status indicates that certain information or checks have been completed according to City Captain's applicable verification process. It does not constitute an absolute guarantee of a professional's future conduct, skill, performance, or suitability for every job.
12. Ratings and Reviews
Customers and professionals may be permitted to provide ratings and reviews.
Reviews must be:
Genuine
Relevant to the service
Respectful
Lawful
Free from fraudulent or misleading claims
City Captain may remove or restrict reviews that violate applicable policies or laws.
Users must not manipulate ratings, create fake accounts to influence ratings, or offer incentives for dishonest reviews.
13. Prohibited Activities
You must not:
Use the Platform for unlawful activities
Provide false or misleading information
Create fraudulent accounts
Impersonate another person
Attempt to bypass City Captain's security systems
Interfere with Platform operations
Upload malicious software or harmful content
Abuse, threaten, harass, or discriminate against users
Use another person's account without authorization
Attempt to obtain unauthorized access to customer or professional information
Scrape or commercially copy Platform information without authorization
Use City Captain to facilitate fraudulent transactions
Request or provide services that are illegal or prohibited
14. Customer–Professional Communication
City Captain may facilitate communication between customers and professionals.
Users must use contact information and communication obtained through City Captain responsibly and only for legitimate purposes.
Users must not misuse another person's personal information or use it for spam, harassment, unauthorized marketing, or other unlawful purposes.
15. Intellectual Property
All City Captain branding, logos, trademarks, website content, designs, software, graphics, text, interfaces, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to City Captain LLP unless otherwise stated.
You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publish, or commercially exploit City Captain intellectual property without prior written permission.
16. User-Submitted Content
Users may submit photographs, reviews, descriptions, profiles, documents, messages, or other content to the Platform.
You remain responsible for content you submit.
By submitting content, you grant City Captain a non-exclusive, limited, worldwide license to use, host, display, reproduce, and process that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, and improve the Platform, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
17. Third-Party Services
The Platform may integrate with third-party services such as payment providers, maps, communication services, verification providers, analytics services, or other technology providers.
Use of third-party services may be subject to their separate terms and privacy policies.
City Captain is not responsible for the independent actions, policies, or availability of third-party services.
18. Service Quality and Disputes
City Captain aims to provide a trusted platform and may assist with service-related complaints.
However, unless City Captain expressly provides the service itself, the actual service may be performed by an independent professional.
Customers and professionals should first attempt to resolve service-related issues reasonably and in good faith.
City Captain may review relevant information and take appropriate platform-level action where necessary.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, City Captain will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or unforeseeable losses arising from use of the Platform or services provided by independent professionals.
City Captain does not guarantee that:
Every professional will always be available
Every service will meet a customer's expectations
Platform information will always be error-free
The Platform will always operate without interruption
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold City Captain LLP and its officers, partners, employees, and authorized representatives harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from:
Your violation of these Terms
Your misuse of the Platform
Your unlawful conduct
Your violation of another person's rights
False or misleading information provided by you
Your actions in connection with services obtained or provided through the Platform
21. Account Suspension or Termination
City Captain may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account or access to the Platform where reasonably necessary, including if:
These Terms are violated
Fraudulent activity is suspected
False information is provided
A user poses a safety or security risk
The Platform is misused
Required verification is not completed
Applicable law requires action
Users may also request account closure, subject to applicable legal and contractual requirements.
